I usually go jogging twice a day, in the early morning and evening if time permitts.
Starting from 5780 fifth ave, that's where I lived for the first year.
Heading to UPitts, make a left turn near Cathedral of Learning building.
Keep going until I'm in Schenley park.
Jog along the back yard of CMU, and make a turn on Frew St in CMU.
Then I'll be on Forbes again when I pass through CMU campus.
Keep steps on Forbes and mind this long upslope when reaching Shadyside .
I would not say it's hard, but this upslope certainly would fasten my hear beat :P
There are a few lovely shops along the intersection of Shady ave and Forbes ave that worth paying a visit.
You can grab a quick bite on ice creams if you like.
Then make a left turn on Shady ave. Again it's a upslope but shorter in distance.
Finally I'm on Fifth ave. Make a left turn to go back to my sweet home.
The total distance of this course is about 5mi, which is roughly 8K.
It's particullarly awesome to jog in fall because you'll see lots of beautiful trees in yellow, orange, and red colors.
While in Spring and summer you see cherry blossom and various kinds of tulips, lilies, roses...
Such views make jogging a very pleasant thing to do.
I miss the summer and the heat in Pitts.
I really miss Pitts badly....:-(
